Economic
This project will grow and secure business so HIC can continue to deliver on
its responsibility as a regional tourism generator. Current economic impact figures
estimate that:
- Business tourism spend in Harrogate 2005/06 was valued at £144,603,000
- Visitor bed nights attributable to conferences and exhibitions is 531,122
- Visitor bed nights attributable directly to Harrogate International Centre is 322,347
- Jobs supported – 3615 (full time employment and around 5000 in total)
